Salmonberry (Rubus spectabilis)

The beautiful orange and pink berries are ripe in mid-summer and are edible for humans and wildlife. The branches and leaves are grazed on by deer and rabbits. The density of growth of this plant allows for habitat and protection for small animals. Salmonberry can be found in moist areas such as along streams and the edges of woodland regions.
